  if a "critical mass" of witnesses started to observe the following, what kind of reaction to you think hq would have?

  what percentage of witnesses would you consider to be a "critical mass?

  Here are some of my suggestions:

  1. Please reduce the meetings to just twice per week and 60 mins each time. This can be done easily by doing away with the book study meeting, combining the school and service meeting into one, reduce the Public Talk to 25 mins, and the Watchtower study to 25 mins.
  2. Please just print one magazine, you may make it a little thicker if you wish; and also only one issue per month.
  3. This shunning/disfellowshipping thing is not working out in this day and age. Modigy it please; like so many more important issues, please leave it to people's conscience.
  4. Please only celebrate a 2-day assembly per year. In lieu of the other two assemblies, you may celebrate a special 2-hour Sunday meeting twice per year.
  5. Please do away with this monthly informing of service hours, studies, and literature. The Organization can measure its progress by KH meeting attendance.

  I feel confident that in due time the New Light will show how reasonable these changes are.

  I'm a closet Yankee fan so I'm happy there; then again, I reside in Florida so I'm happy about the Marlins too.

  Notify the legal authorities immediately, perhaps even the media if you have enough evidence.

  The WTBTS, in their continuous effort to always cover their butts, have written articles and sent letters to the congregations in which they encourage members to notify the police; however, in real life, behind closed doors, when the elders give private counsel they highly emphasize in avoiding anything that brings reproach to Jehovah, thus the person offended doesn't dare go any further.

  well ive been studying with the jehovah witness for about 3 yrs now and im really thinking about making myself a publisher and i want to know is this website real and why are people talking about hiding their names what are they hiding it for shouldnt you be happy that youre studying with the jw and the jehovah called on you.

  and what's up with all the swearing havent you thought about keeping up good lanquage in case someone visits this site and see that and whats up with the half naked pictures of women whats really going on

  Seen any good movies lately?

  the husband and i went to see "house of the dead" the other night, and 30 minutes into it we had to leave because it was so horrible.

  rarely have i seen such bad acting outside of a highschool drama performance, and i have never left during a movie.. thing is, i love going to the movies, so it was a major disappointment.

  i just can't even put into words the things that i have found out over the years... how horribly elders treated people, how everything was kept secret... .

  Faithful & Discreet Slave - NEW LIGHT

  ok........has anybody been hearing rumors about new light on the faithful and discreet slave teaching?

  i recently talked to one of my ex-bethel buddies and he said that an adjustment has been in the works for awhile now and that the new light for the fds will be that they will receive their appointment before the great tribulation and that they didn't receive it at 1918-19 as previously taught.

  their works (global preaching work, worldwide growth, etc) up until the point of the great tribulation will show that they have been faithful and discreet in caring for the lord's interests and worthy of "official" appointment before the end comes.

  I don't forsee a mass exodus anytime soon, regardless of the changes that may come.

  Many of us in there, I tell you all it's like 1.5 out of 3 Witnesses, just treat this religious organization like a buffet table, taking what we like and ignoring the rest.

  Plus, so many of us are what I call 'social Witnesses' that have made our social circle of like-minded individuals and just carry on, paying a deaf ear to some silly nonsense that goes on in there.
